My name is Leonie and together with my husband Matthijs we are the faces behind the StarGems brand.

After a failed attempt to start a jewelry webshop in 2018, the itch for entrepreneurship started again at the end of 2025.

I'd been in love with the fabric bags made in India for a while. However, the prints were often just not my style and a bit too old-fashioned. So I took the plunge and contacted a studio in India to explore the possibilities of designing and producing my own bags.

Initially, I sold the bags through Vinted, but it soon became clear that it was time for the next step: my own webshop!

All products in our webshop are designed with care and love, making each one unique. Because we run StarGems with just two people, we can keep our bags affordable without compromising on quality.
